Simple expressions, “what you give your energy to persists”, illustrate this concept. In short, no and yes are equivalent to the universe, as they are both a strong input of energy. Hate is in fact not the opposite of love, but indifference.
In this way, passion (whether through lust, hate, envy, etc.) can be transformed because in its simple state it is a surge of energy. Transforming energy is much simpler than adding new energy to a situation. This is why that even when couples are on the rocks, it is said they still have a fighting chance if they are still fighting. Fighting is a form of communication, albeit one that could be improved. In couples, who no longer fight, they have chosen to take their energy out of the relationship (and inputted it elsewhere). Sure things can always be rebuilt, however I digress.
The universe only hears “this, this, I want more of this.” This could be screams of exhalation from winning the million dollar jackpot. This could be rage thrown at an ignorant driver, “Where is your bleeping turn signal! Put down your phone!” This could even be you whining and crying every evening about how difficult the world is. Because all of these inputs are choices to signal to the universe – more, more, more I want more of this! Send it my way, please!
When encountering trying situations, the best approach is always to center yourself. To ground. Why? Because in reacting, you are adding your input of yes. But in reflecting, and further detaching, this becomes a lack of an input. From observation, we are able to see the entirety of the situations, and not allow our knee-jerking, screaming instinct emotions to overdrive our logic. And further, shape our mindset for that moment and future moments.
The old wise saying, “if you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. If you run into assholes all day, you’re the asshole.” In short, what you give out, you receive. Our inner worlds manifest out worldly. Sometimes inconveniences happen, frustrations and the like. This is all part of the spice and variety of life. It is up to use by practicing self-restraint, disciple, to chose which situations to give energy to.
Affirmations: I wisely chose where I apply my energy. My energy is magic and where my thoughts and emotions go, the universe listens. I appreciate more the further I detach.
